It feels as if these last few weeks have been dragging on and on. And week 12 was no different. I say that but in all honesty I’m enjoying the How long does it take for prednisone to work, I just feel like I’m ready to move on to the next thing. The short and intense workouts are great and it really cuts down the excuse of not having time to get in a workout. I only had 1 rough day this week but I motored through and now I’m looking at the Victory week right in front if me.
Week 12 In Review
Week 12 workouts were pretty good. This, in my opinion is the harder of the 2 different weeks in the 3rd block. Mostly because of the eccentric workouts and having two leg workouts in the same week. One thing I have always been true to is my honesty. YES, I’m a Beachbody Coach, but that doesn’t mean I have to a mindless drone and always have something good to say about Beachbody workouts. If I don’t like something you will read about it, if I do like it you can read that too. Having said that, Triometrics has been the most difficult workout of this entire P90X3 challenge and in the third block we do it every week. But in two of the weeks we also have the eccentric lower workout which for my is doubling up on the legs, which are usually sore. For me this was a turn off, I know it shouldn’t have been but that was my reality. When I got to the triometrics workout this week I really wasn’t into and quit with about 9 minutes left in the workout. Being a hard workout and knowing I had another leg day coming my mind shut it down and I simply quit. However when I got to the eccentric lower workout a few days later I probably had the best workout to date in that routine. I also Zoloft. Still not really into Pilates yet, maybe one day I’ll get there. I’m up in the air as to whether I could consider this week a good or bad one in terms of the workouts. Probably somewhere in the middle, I think I’m ready to move on and start the next project. I only have one more week in the P90X3 Challenge. Victory week starts tomorrow.
Week 12 Nutrition
As for the par my nutrition during the week was pretty sound. The weekend is still a harsh reality of bad choices or simply just the fact that we eat out. While we eat out and I know it’s hardly a good thing I try to make the best of it without compromising too much. So for the last few weekends when we have “indulged” in eating out I still make the attempt to meet both my calorie and macro goals (IIFYM). Although the sodium and sugar goals are blown away with restaurant food. I’m still a work in progress in my weekend modes but for the most part the rest of the week goes well. I’m still moving in the right direction and focusing on “progress not perfection” for the most part. I’m still making progress and I have come a long way in this short amount of time.
Week 12 In Conclusion
My conclusion for day 84 and week 12 is that I’m ready to move on to the Victory Week. Me and my wife have pushed play 6 days a week with P90X3 since January 6th. We haven’t missed a single workout and to be honest it’s starting to get old. We are ready for something new. P90X3 has been a game changer for both me and my wife and we love the program and the results and will be doing it again in the future but for now 90 days will be enough for at least a few months. In terms of weight loss I lost .4 pounds this week and giving the way the weekend went I’ll take it. There is only 5 more days left before the final weigh in and measurements so I’m staying true to my nutrition and the workouts this week. Be on the look out for my final review and results post coming next week. Stay tuned.
