Team Beachbody receives the “Rising Star Award” from DSA

Team Beachbody has won this year’s Rising Star Award from the Direct Selling Association, an award that indicates that people are now starting to take notice of the excellence of the products and services offered by the company.
The Rising Star Award isn’t just given to anybody. This has actually been designed to recognize up-and-coming direct selling companies that the association recognizes as making the effort to dedicate themselves to achieving a high standard of excellence, particularly in terms of business operations.

The Direct Selling Association has set up the following criteria to determine who receives the Rising Star Award:

• The company must be an active member of the DSA for at least one year;
• The company must have begun their direct selling operations less than five years ago;
• The company must show that it is committed in following the tenets as seen in the Code of Ethics of the DSA;
• The company must show that it has a consistent and continued growth pattern; and
• The company must be able to demonstrate that it follows a well-rounded business strategy, which includes projections for growth in sales and sales force, as well as tangential activities such as supporting charities.

The Rising Star Award was given to Team Beachbody because the Direct Selling Association recognized the company’s efforts to focus more on their customers instead of using promotional materials such as television ads to spread the word out about their company and their products. Instead of investing on advertorials and other kinds of marketing campaigns, the company launched the Team Body Coaching Network, a group that gives their customers the opportunity to start their own businesses selling products they actually love. Team Beachbody in itself is a dynamic online support community that has been made so as to provide a system for customers to stay motivated in continuing their workout program, while at the same time serving as the ultimate resource site from which trainers, coaches, and experts will be able to pick up information in order to make the most of the programs for individual users.

Even with the continued growth of the company, Beachbody continues to maintain their high standards in terms of ethics, philanthropy, and customer service, thus making them the clear winner for this award. According to Carl Daikeler, the company CEO, the win was a clear sign that the company is now being recognized by people everywhere. As he tweeted, “I guess we’re on the radar now.”

Beachbody, which was founded in 1998, is the creator of some of the most popular fitness and weight loss programs and solutions in the market today. These include P90X, Slim in 6, Hip Hop Abs, and Shakeology. The company goal is to offer the most innovative and effective products and trainers to help people achieve their fitness goals in order to enjoy healthier, fuller lives.

The past winners of the Rising Star Award were Scentsy (2009) and Rodan + Fields (2010). Scentsy is a direct-selling company owned and operated by Orville and Heidi Thompson that offers wickless candles as a safer alternative to the traditional variants. Rodan + Fields, on the other hand, is a leading clinical skin care company that traces its roots in department stores prior to moving on to direct selling.
