For people who are particularly interested in high intensity workouts that produce the desired results in a short space of time, you will be happy to know that Beachbody has produced yet another power program. Insanity, designed and created by Shaun T., is the new 60 day full body transformation workout that guarantees success if followed through thoroughly.

Hands down, the Insanity Workout is perhaps the hardest workout ever to be put on DVD. What stands out most about it is that it defies the norms that were in place for doing exercise routines, but it has certainly proven to work once people stick to the program. In fact, the Insanity Workout guarantees that if you are able to stick with it for 60 days, you will end up with the hardest body you have ever had.

Gone are the days when people need to spend hours at the gym. With the Insanity Workout, people now have the opportunity to workout for less than an hour each day for 60 days and end up with the same results as people who exercise for one year. But be warned: Insanity really is not made for everybody. People who do not have the drive or who are lazy may not achieve the results that the program guarantees. However, if you feel that you are mentally ready and prepared to achieve the results that the Insanity Workout can allow you to achieve, then by all means, get started!

One key point to mention is that the Insanity Workout utilizes maximum interval training to allow people to get the results. Basically, this workout allows you to overcome the stress adaptation response, which is usually what happens when your body gets used to exercising at one particular level and hence stops showing signs of improvement after a while.

So just how does the program work? Well, traditional cardio exercise dictates that you should do moderate intensity exercises for an extended period of time, followed by a shorter period of high intensity exercise, with that cycle continuing for the duration of your workout. However, Shuan T. and the Insanity Workout have switched that formula, so instead of longer periods of mid-intensity exercise, you would have longer periods of maximum intensity, followed by 30-second spurts of rest. With the program structured this way, your body is forced to use fast-twitch muscle fibers that are not usually engaged during normal cardio exercise. These fast-twitch fibers allow burning to continue even while you are doing the low-intensity exercise.

The Insanity Workout guarantees to have you working out at over 85% of your maximum, which is much higher than any other program out there. As a result of this, your fitness will increase in a much shorter space of time and you will have more efficient burning of fat.

Once again, this program is not designed for the faint of heart or for those who really aren’t dedicated to achieving the results. If you feel you are ready to look at the way you have always wanted to, then the Insanity Workout is definitely for you.
